1. Purpose of processing: Your personal data is processed in order to (1) enable your participation in the Connected Vehicle Field Test to evaluate the implementation of the EU Data Act in the area of connected vehicles, (2) to contact you (by email) to carry out the field test, (3) to document the registration on the vehicle manufacturers’ portal together with you (via Microsoft Teams), (4) to optionally record the Teams session, provided you expressly consent to this.
2. Types of data processed: your contact details (name, email, phone number), vehicle-related information (e.g., make, model, VIN), vehicle data (data provided by the vehicle manufacturer, e.g. mileage, geolocation, etc.), your answers and experiences in the context of the questionnaires provided in the field test, and, if applicable, image and sound recordings from joint online sessions (only with separate consent)
3. Legal basis: The processing is based on your voluntary consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and your consent in accordance with § 7a UWG (German Unfair Competition Act) for telephone or online meeting contact.
4. Recipients: Your data will be processed exclusively by Caruso GmbH and, if necessary, transmitted to the respective vehicle manufacturer as part of the vehicle portal registration. Your data will not be passed on to other third parties without your express separate consent. Your data may be used anonymized in reports or studies documenting the Connected Vehicle Field Test 5.0
5. Storage period: Your personal data will only be used for the duration of the Connected Vehicle Field Test and will be deleted no later than 6 months after completion (unless there are legal retention obligations). Recordings of team meetings will only be stored for as long as necessary for the purpose of the field test, but for no longer than 6 months after completion.
6. Your rights: You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection, and revocation of your consent with effect for the future at any time (Art. 7 (3), Art. 15-21 GDPR). You can also file a complaint with a data protection authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
